Nice call out for Firefox. Chrome has been terrible at color management for a long time. The DisplayCal forums appreciate you. If you can't get rid of Chrome: chrome://flags > Force color profile: choose the best profile for your display

Would there be any compatibility problems if I used a 4k hdr TV as a monitor via hdmi ?

HDR is fine on PC if you know what settings to use. So many things wrong with this video, not even using a true HDR monitor. Sad!

Seems like a meme for gaming, couldn't you achieve the same thing with graphics profiles?

Um I have update 1803 installed and it's still showing washed out colors when I enable HDR from display settings. However if I keep it off and I only enable HDR from my samsung hdr tv that I use as a monitor it will show colors the right way.

Thanks for continuing to follow the topic. I thought my next monitor will have HDR10. But this year there won't be any true HDR for under 500€. Should I take a 1080 or 1440p screen? (Size: 22-27", Distance to Screen: 75 cm) I think I need 100+ Hz and G-Sync for the heavier games. My GPU is a GTX 1060. Therefore I don't know if it will handle 144 Hz at 1440p. It might be to weak. What do you think?

I'm using the Samsung KS8000 on a monitor…looks amazing with my Xbox One X and PS4 Pro…I am trying to PC game but Destiny 2 looks so overly bright and extreme colour..it's clearly not working and I can't figure out why. I have HDR on Windows and update 1803. I have no idea what the issue is…any advice?!

Agree with the need for per app HDR/ SDR toggling, or even just a hotkey to toggle HDR on and off, for now a macro will have to do

Worst game for HDR is cod ww2. Looks so dull and shit. On the PS4 pro, other games however can look great. Ratchet and clank looks decent, not played many titles. Injustice 2 is cool too

HDR to me seems like the next Marketing hype thing like 3D. Then again I haven't seen it with my own eyes yet so it's hard to judge. Plus I just spent a buttload of cash on an Asus PG279Q so I just have to live without HDR for a long time.

If srgb is supposed to be "true color" or something, then what HDR does? Makes the picture more bright or what?

When Enabling "hdr" in windows on my LG 65 inch 4k tv I just get a washed out image, almost like you took the saturation to 5% and brightness up a bit or something around the lines. Its coming off of a GTX 1050 so there should be no issues. Latest windows update and latest nvidia driver…
