Will "Ask for user input" get siri support added later on? It would seem like siri shortcuts would be pretty pointless if you cant for example even make a workflow that only involes speaking to siri instead of typing in an answer

I've been using workflow for over a year now. I'm kind of disappointed this Shortcuts feature doesn't seem to add anything to the App apart from the Siri integration. They should make it bypass opening Shortcuts when the command is prompted, allowing it to jump right into the desired app for a start. Then I don't think this will ever be the solution to Siri, which has lost a lot of ground to competitors. I really hope Apple will sort this out.

Can you use Siri Shortcuts to play Apple Music on an HomePod at a certain time? Since the current alarm feature on HomePod does not allow you to set any music or radio station as an alarm can Siri Shortcuts be used to get around this limitation?

The brightness thing is unnecessary, why don't you just use auto brightness? works flawless and adapt the brightness to your surroundings …

I am disappointed, that the questions are not asked by siri and that you cannot answer with your voice
